roses from my friends

i would say one of the biggest themes of my twenties was coming to terms with being apart from my loved ones. time, space, commitments fling us to the farthest corners of the earth, away from each other. every moment we spend together is a blessing. parting can be bittersweet but i'd take it over not having the laughter, the comfort, the love of my friends or family.

a very amateur video i shot this weekend at portobello market in london with my dear old friend emily who is 8 months pregnant. we were looking for vintage treasures when we stopped on this corner. the song was playing in the background, the little flags flapping in the wind, a perfect summer day. when i'm with a friend like this, no time has passed.

  3. this makes me so happy! i've been so sentimental about things like this lately. i feel like nobody really warns you that this is a common challenge in your 20s!

i love this pretty bloggy of yours, by the way :)

  5. I'm drowning in nostalgia now! How I miss lovely London. And I agree about being away from friends. All my best friends live on the east coast, but it's just like you said--I know they're my best, best, besties because when I see them it's as if nothing has changed and no time has passed.

  6. this is so lovely.
the best friends are the ones that you can be apart from for months and even years and when you finally reunite it's as if no time has passed. you pick up right where you left on - so special!
