a perfect spring day in santa ynez
i didn't have a chance to post about our wonderful family shoot with
and
(who shot 8mm video) before francesca arrived last year and thought valentine's day would be a perfect occasion to share. we drove up to santa ynez and los olivos on a beautiful spring day. jose and joel live nearby and have a special relationship with the environment. the light in this part of california is pure magic and i feel an indescribable joy every time we visit. since elodie was being a normal three year old and not totally into taking pictures, we told her we were in the hundred acre wood. she found some purple thistles and kept on the look out for pooh bear and eeyore the entire time. i remember everything about this day - the beautiful drive, the famous tri-tip sandwiches from the local market, and the first movements of baby number two. we feel so incredibly honored to have this family day captured. thank you jose and joel! you are such talented, gracious men and the love you spread through your work is infectious.
